OSIEC: Brace yourself for election, stop the defeatist tears – Osun PDP counsels APC

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State has counselled the opposition APC to stop its Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED) which is markedly being demonstrated in its frequent impulsive anger over matters bordering on the PDP administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, asking the defeated party to continue to nurse its loss in peace.

The PDP particularly told the APC to gather its shredded acts right and prepare for future elections they are bound to lose, as the party is no longer politically healthy to contest and win any election in Osun State.

The ruling party in a statement by its media office and signed by the Chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi in Osogbo on Monday asked the APC to flashback to its inglorious era where the electoral body was populated with APC card-carrying individuals.

“However, the PDP was focused and never bothered about the composition of the commission, as the PDP was confident of defeating the APC at the polls until the then Governor Oyetola and his party chickened out of conduct of the election, only to rush through a yes or no referendum barely a month to their valedictory service.”

“The APC should also be reminded that our grounds of objection to the conduct of the local government election were unbeatable, spot on and devoid of unjustifiable merry-go-rounding. The now ruling party was not messing around with frivolous prayers before law courts. The grounds of objection touched mainly on the new electoral act as amended which effectively retired the unconstitutionality into the dustbin of nullity.”

“While the opposition will never be satisfied with any appointment into OSIEC as such is within the constitutional purview of His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke as exercised, such appointment has however DRAINED any member of the commission of all forms of partisanship.”

“The pain being exhibited by the APC is understandable, having failed to stop the Governor’s nominations into the state electoral commission through an obviously sponsored faceless political group.”

“In the light of the foregoing, the opposition party is strongly advised to prepare for elections in the state instead of wasting themselves away, trying to stop a moving train.”
