Gov. Adeleke Pledges Support for Corps Members Serving in Osun State

Members of the National Youth Service Corps( NYSC) currently serving in Osun state have been implored to keep the spirit of National unity, peace, and patriotism high, to make everlasting impacts during and after the service year.

Happy and impressed by an all-around sanitation exercise embarked upon by about 500 Corps members to all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies of Government at the State Secretariat, Abere.

Governor Ademola Adeleke pledged the readiness of his administration to make Osun, a home away from home, for all the corps members.

In their separate remarks while receiving the corps members, the Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon Dr. B.T. Salam, his counterpart from Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi and Youth Affairs, Hon Moshood Olagunju as well as Agriculture, Hon. Tola Faseru, on behalf of Governor Ademola Adeleke lauded the Corps members for embarking on what they variously described as a spirit of true love and National Cohesion with such a clean-up campaign of the entire premises of the State Secretariat last week, Thursday.

“As a Government of the present administration led by H.E. Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, no efforts will be spared to continue to give all corps members currently on national assignment in Osun state, the needed support and encouragement.

“Concerning the present clean-up campaign to all MDAs of Osun state which you have embarked on, we want to sincerely acknowledge it and say thank you for making your impacts in your special way felt as boys and girls on national assignment in our dear state, Osun.”

Earlier, the Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff, Hon. Ojo Isaac Sanmi popularly known as Ijoba Demo who organized the clean-up campaign intimated to journalists who watched the Corps members carrying out the clean-up campaign to various MDAs inside the State Secretariat, Abeere, that, it was in line with the present administration’s reso-up campaign to various MDAs inside the State Secretariat, Abeere, that, it was in line with the present administration’s resolve to always give all youths a necessary sense of belonging and support.

Hon.Sanmi, who also appreciated the Corps members on behalf of the Osun state government, maintained that the whole essence was to instill the idea of cleanliness being next to Godliness in the teeming youths under the NYSC scheme who are currently serving their fatherland in Osun state.

Shortly after the clean-up campaign which lasted several hours on Thursday, a cross-section of the Corps members said, that in the last couple of months of their being posted to Osun state on National Service, it has, unarguably become a good home away from their original homes when viewed against the backdrop of how they are being treated by the Government of Senator Ademola Adeleke and the good people of the state.
