The management of the University of Ilesha has cleared air on the recent social media post drawing public concern to a specific section of the ongoing road reconstruction project within the University premises.
In a statement signed by the University Registrar stated that,the University sincerely appreciates the feedback and wishes to clarify that the contractor, in an attempt to facilitate effective water drainage, had applied an asphalt overlay in the affected area. Nonetheless, the matter has been duly brought to the contractor’s attention, and necessary remediation work is already in progress.
“We reaffirm the University’s commitment to quality and adherence to established standards in all its infrastructural undertakings. The ongoing road rehabilitation project, generously sponsored by the Osun State Government under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, is a significant and strategic intervention aimed at revitalizing the University’s internal road network, many parts of which had suffered neglect for the past 15 years.”
The University assures members of the public and the campus community that all issues identified during the course of the project will be promptly and comprehensively addressed. We remain confident that the investment by the State Government will result in durable and impactful improvements for the benefit of all stakeholders.
