Civil servants are the needed backbone to my administration – Governor Adeleke

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has described the civil servants in the state as the needed backbone for his administration.

He added that for any administration to have a meaningful breakthrough in all its programs,policies and activities,the love and support of civil servants cannot be overemphasized.

Governor Adeleke who was represented by his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi made this known on Thursday while celebrating with Osun civil servants on the occasion of the 2023 civil service week, he described the workforce in Osun as an engine room and needed pillar of support whose worths and influence can not be toyed with.

“I implored all workers to continue to be diligent and efficient, stressing that hardwork would from time to time be adequately rewarded by his administration.”

Speaking earlier, the Head of Service ,Mr Ayanleye Aina acknowledged and commended the efforts of Adeleke led administration for putting the welfare of workers first on its list of agendas.

He also appreciated the approval granted by the governor for the training and retraining of workers in the various ministries, departments and agencies of government.

In his welcome address, the Chairman, Nigerian Civil Service Union, NCSU,Osun state branch,Comrade Christopher Arapasopo declared the readiness of Osun workers to continue aligning positively with the policies, programmes and activities of the Governor’s administration.

There were also goodwill messages by executives of the national body of NCSC, T.U.C and JNC,Osun state who also lauded the present administration in Osun state.

Governor Adeleke was also publicly honored and decorated with an award of excellence as the Most Worker Friendly Governor in the state, about 70 workers drawn from different Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government were also honoured with 2023 Osun state Civil Service Merit Award for their diligence, commitment and dedication to duty in their various places of work.
