…charges youths to risk investment opportunities
Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has commissioned Crescendo Sports Lounge in Osogbo, urging the youths to take advantage of the enabling environment of the current administration of Osun State.
He tasked the youths to take investment risks and count their gains, even in the face of economic downturn bedeviling Nigeria.
This assertion was made by the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, who represented the Governor at the commissioning of the investment project at Alekuwodo Osogbo, on Friday 23rd February, 2024.
Recall that the commissioner paid a final inspection tour to the project site barely a week ahead of the day of commissioning.
Crescendo Sports Lounge, a subsidiary of A1 Pinnacle Services Ltd, in partnership with the Osun State Government, is a realization of a dream of the current administration to turn Osun from Civil Service State to an industrialized one.
The Commissioner described the Sports Lounge as a laudable achievement of Governor Adeleke, whose yearning is wooing local and international investors, since his assumption of office, now yielding positive and physical results.
“I make bold to say that, what we are commissioning today is the first of its kind in the entire South West region. The materials, especially, the synthetic grass are of international standard. Its strategic location will no doubt attracts sports lovers within and outside the State. By this project, some of our youths will be gainfully employed and their mental alertness developed through various sporting activities. These will equally boost the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR)”, the Commissioner said.
According to the Commissioner, ” the phase we are commissioning today is just the first phase. As you can see, the phase II, that will house other indoor games will equally be completed and commissioned in no distant future. Mr. Governor, as a lover of Sports, will be on ground to cut the tape”.
He appealed to the “youths and all sport lovers to use the opportunity of this facility to develop their God-given talents. An adage says ‘an idle hand is the devil’s workshop’. Don’t just pay to watch a match, but develop your skills as well”.
“People who can risk investment are the ones to make gain in such an adventure. If there is no risk, there is no gain at the end of the day”, he said.
“I want to laud the efforts of the Chief Executive Officer of A1 Pinnacle, Mr. Tunde Oladimeji, for deeming it fit to contribute his own quota to the development of our dear State. Other interested investors are assured of enabling environment to drive their businesses” Rev. Jenyo stated.
The Commissioner was accompanied by the Management team of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
