Bashorun Adewoye Congratulates Adeleke on Re-election, Says Victory Affirms Confidence in His Leadership
A leading member of the Accord Party in the Diaspora and founder of La-Bash Foundation, Bashorun Opeyemi Yusuf Adewoye, popularly known as La-Bash, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his victory in the August 15 governorship election.
Adewoye, in a congratulatory message he personally signed on Sunday, described Adeleke’s re-election as a clear demonstration of the confidence the people of the state have in his administration.
He said the outcome of the election reflected the people’s appreciation of the performance of the Adeleke administration during its first term, adding that the renewed mandate would enable the governor to consolidate his achievements and deliver more dividends of democracy.
“I am extremely delighted by the outcome of the Osun Governorship election, which is an affirmation of the overwhelming confidence that the people have in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s leadership, vision and desire for the continuity of good governance.
“By choosing to renew Governor Adeleke’s mandate, Osun people have demonstrated their appreciation for the incredible work done in the first term and strong belief that the second term will bring even more delivery of the dividends of democracy,” he said.
Adewoye commended voters and other stakeholders in the state for their conduct during the election, saying the decision to re-elect Adeleke would allow the administration to sustain what he described as the gains recorded in its first term.
He described the governor as an “excellent administrator” who had, through what he called effective governance, impacted lives and improved the physical outlook of the state.
“It is on that note that I extend my warmest congratulations to Governor Adeleke on his well-deserved victory in the recently held governorship election in Osun State.
“Governor Adeleke is an excellent administrator who has transformed lives and the physical outlook of our dear state through effective governance, and his re-election is the prevalence of good governance over empty rhetoric,” Adewoye said.
The Accord chieftain also congratulated the people of Osun State for what he described as their choice of “a clear direction of progress and development.”
According to him, the renewed mandate would provide an opportunity for the state government to continue with policies aimed at improving the welfare of workers and pensioners, urban renewal, healthcare delivery and youth development.
“The re-election of Governor Adeleke is a huge win for Osun people. With this victory comes clarity of purpose and, as such, will sustain a sense of hope that the wheel of progress and development in Osun State will not be circumvented,” he said.
He added that the second term should bring “better attitude to the welfare of workers and pensioners, urban renewal projects, revitalised healthcare, and structured support for young people.”
Adewoye wished Governor Adeleke a successful second term and urged him to pursue policies that would have a direct impact on residents and communities across the state.
He also called on the governor to establish a workable framework that would enable Osun indigenes living in the diaspora to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.
