A leading member of the Accord in the Diaspora, Bashorun Opeyemi Yusuf Adewoye, popularly known as La-Bash, has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory at the August 15 governorship election in Osun State, describing his re-election as a demonstration of confidence in him to continue to drive meaningful progress for the state.
In a congratulatory message he personally signed on Sunday, Bashorun Adewoye, the founder of La-Bash Foundation said the resounding victory of Governor Adeleke at the poll is a strong affirmation of the people’s appreciation of his administration’s remarkable performance in first term, noting that the renewed mandate is an open endorsement of the Governor’s transformative leadership.
Bashorun Adewoye praised Osun voters and other stakeholders for rejecting attempts to reverse the current gains of governance that are manifest under Governor Adeleke, stressing that the renewal of mandate for Governor Adeleke will allow him to consolidate the achievement of his first term and deliver more dividends of democracy in the new term.
“I am extremely delighted by the outcome of the Osun Governorship election, which is an affirmation of the overwhelming confidence that the people have in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s leadership, vision and desire for the continuity of good governance. By choosing to renew Governor Adeleke’s mandate, Osun people have demonstrated their appreciation for the incredible work done in the first term and strong belief that the second term will bring an even more deliveries of the dividends of democracy,” Bashorun Adewoye noted in a congratulatory message.
“It is on that note that I extend my warmest congratulations to Governor Adeleke on his well deserved victory in the recently held governorship election in Osun State. Governor Adeleke is an excellent administrator who has transformed lives and physical outlook of our dear state through effective governance, and his re-election is the prevalence of good governance over empty rhetoric.”
Bashorun Adewoye congratulated the people of Osun State for choosing a clear direction of progress and development, noting that the renewal of the mandate of Governor Adeleke will ensure continuity of better welfare for the people and massive physical infrastructural renewal.
“The re-election of Governor Adeleke is a huge win for Osun people. With this victory, comes clarity of purpose and as such, will sustain a sense of of hope that the wheel of progress and development in Osun State will not be circumvented,” he noted, adding that “the renewed mandate means the continuation of better attitude to the welfare of workers and pensioners, urban renewal projects, revitalised healthcare, and structured support for young people.”
Bashorun Adewoye wished Governor Adeleke a successful second term with many landmark achievements that will impact lives and transform communities, urging the Governor to come up with a workable framework that would make it possible for citizens in diaspora to contribute to the state’s development.
