Osun to Hold Monthly Public Accountability Radio Programme on Saturday

The Osun State Government has announced that it will hold another edition of its monthly public accountability radio programme, Stewardship/Ise Iriju Wa, on Saturday as part of efforts to keep residents informed about the activities and performance of the Governor Ademola Adeleke administration.
The live programme will air simultaneously on more than 20 radio stations across the state from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
According to a statement issued on Friday by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, the programme will focus on governance, politics, security and infrastructure, while providing updates on projects completed by the state government and those currently under construction.
Alimi said the programme would also offer members of the public the opportunity to engage government officials on issues affecting the state.
He disclosed that the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Bashir Bello, and other senior officials of the ministry would be guests on the programme, where they would provide detailed information on ongoing and completed infrastructure projects across Osun.
The commissioner noted that the monthly broadcast, organised by the Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment, is designed to keep residents abreast of government policies, achievements, challenges and plans through direct interaction with public officials.
He encouraged residents of Osun and other interested Nigerians to participate in the programme through the dedicated telephone lines that will be made available during the live broadcast.
Alimi added that listeners outside Nigeria would also be able to follow the programme through the government’s social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, as well as the Radio Garden online streaming service.
