As Ademola Adeleke Campaign Organisation reaches Osun East today, leaders of the Peoples’ Democratic Party for Ilesa West of the Osun state have endorsed the candidacy of Senator Ademola Adeleke for the 2022 governorship race.

The communique from the meeting is published below:

A meeting of stakeholders of the prestigious Peoples Democratic Party Ilesa West was held today, Wednesday, 9th of February, 2022. The strategic meeting which was convened by the leader of all leaders in Ilesa West Local Government, Hon Prophet Adetunji Adeleke have in attendance all the ten (10) wards chairmen, leaders across the wards and the significant dignitaries within Ilesa West PD

The meeting which was targeted at moving the party forward to the path of victory, and to ensure the emergence of Senator Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke as the consensus candidate for the Osun State PDP ticket in the forthcoming shadow and winner in the Osun State Gubernitorial elections.

Accordingly, the following communique signed by leaders at the end of the meeting;

We, the members of the leaders forum of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ilesa West have carefully examined all the Osun State PDP(6) gubernitorial aspirants, and we think it’s fit to use our forum as a pointer for the party members, leaders and stakeholders in the party across the state to choose the best among them. In that regard, we consider the choice of Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke the most suitable and best for the party based on the following reasons;

He has carefully learnt and acquired good political experiences from his late brother, Senator (Alhaji) Isiaka, Adetunji Adeleke, the first Executive Governor of Osun State during the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 1990s. All these experiences stay with him till date.

Upon the demise of his late brother, he contested to occupy the vacant Senatorial seat of Osun West, and he won in a landslide victory against the opponent from the ruling APC by securing victory in nine (9) local government areas out of 10 which is a clear evidence that he is a man of the people.

When he was in the Senate to run out the term of his late brother, he followed the pattern of achievement of his late brother, delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of his Senatorial district and beyond and his achievement surpassed those who have been in the Senate before him. The made the people to have trust in him and pushed him forward to contest the governoship election in 2018 and won.

However, his performance during the 2018 governoship elections, which people at home and disaporal believed that he won, but robbed by his major contestant in APC, speak volume till date among the good people of Osun State; who are still ready to pay him back by giving him sympathy votes on 16th of July, 2022.

The above and many more tangible reasons were raised by the leaders and Elders of Ilesa West PDP chapter as they unanimously resolved today, Wednesday 9th February, 2022 and recommend Sen. Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke to the entire people of Osun State under the only Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a consensus candidate.

The motion for the consensus candidature of Sen Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke was moved by the SLA to Sen Fadahunsi Adenigba Fadahunsi, Sen representing Osun East in 9th assembly, Chief Fadipe Oloka from Ilesa West Ward 8 and second by our dear Hon Chief Mrs Elizabeth Abey from Ward 4, Ilesa West.

The segement of the communique was also used to congratulate Osun State PDP Chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi as the chairman of Osun State as affirmed by the National working Committee of our great party PDP in the just concluded last week stakeholders meeting and prayed for good health before, during and after the Osun State Gubernitorial Elections. The Meeting also offered prayers for the victory of the PDP in all the forthcoming elections at all levels.

Prominent leaders at the Meeting were contained on the list below.

Signed:

Hon Prophet Adetunji Adeleke, Chairman, Ilesa West PDP Leaders forum
