(OPINION): Osun APC,its rhetoric: An undermine to judicial process

By James Bamgbose

As a member of the PDP, I am deeply bemused by the recent recommendation of the Osun APC Chairman for their members to engage in 7 days of fasting and prayers in anticipation of the July 16 tribunal judgment.

This kind of rhetoric is not only divisive, but it also undermines the integrity of the judicial process.

While I understand the importance of prayer and the role it can play in our lives, I firmly believe that this call to fasting and prayer is nothing more than a distraction and a waste of time for our fellow citizens who are members of the APC.The truth is that God only answers the prayers of the upright.

Those who are truly committed to living a life of integrity and righteousness will find their prayers answered, while those who are deceitful and dishonest will not.It is also important to remember that God does not take sides in political matters. He does not answer the prayers of one political party over another.

Rather, He listens to the prayers of those who are upright and just. The suggestion that fasting and prayer can somehow sway the outcome of the tribunal judgment is not only misguided, but it also sends a dangerous message to the people of Osun state.

It implies that the APC is not confident in the integrity of its case and is resorting to spiritual manipulation tools to secure a favorable outcome.Furthermore, the idea of fasting and prayer as a means of influencing the outcome

of the tribunal judgment is a waste of time and energy.

It is an attempt to distract from the real issues at hand. As members of the PDP, we believe in the power of prayer, but we also believe in the power of hard work, integrity, and transparency.

We will continue to work towards a fair and just outcome in the tribunal judgment, and we will not be swayed by the rhetoric of those who seek to manipulate the process for their gain.
