Osun to build a befitting permanent Hajj transit camp – Chairman MPWB

For ease of its operation and welfare of all intending pilgrims, arrangement is under way by the administration of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke to build a first class permanent Hajj transit camp for intending pilgrims in Osun State.

The Chairman of Osun State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Sheik Moruf Ishola disclosed this during the closing ceremony of a four week sensitization and orientation course organized for the State’s intending pilgrims to the 2024 Hajj operations in the holy lands of Makkah and Madina.

In his address, the State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Rasheed Aderibigbe, congratulated the would be pilgrims for being counted worthy and fit to be part of Osun delegation to perform this year’s hajj.

He implored them to put into practice all they have learnt during the one month sensitization and orientation programmes organized, advising them to shun all vices capable of bringing the image and reputation of the state into disrepute while in the Holy land.

He disclosed that his recent visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia gave him confidence and assurance that pilgrims from Osun State would have the best of pilgrimage this year because of what he met on ground during the visit in terms of feeding arrangement and good accomodations already in place.

“I laud the State Governor,Senator Ademola Adeleke for giving the welfare of the intending pilgrims the best of consideration and priority and also urge all intending Pilgrims while on the holy journey, to remember the State Governor, his family,members of the State Executive Council and the people of the State at large in their prayers”, the commissioner concluded.
