Adeleke mourns death of Ede-born business mogul, Adetoro Lawal

Governor Ademola Adeleke, of Osun State, has mourned the death of Alhaji Raheem Adetoro Lawal, a prominent businessman and community leader from Ede.
Adeleke, in a condolence message issued on Tuesday by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, described the deceased, who was the Babalaje of Edeland, as a successful businessman, humanitarian and lover of his community who contributed significantly to the development of Ede and Osun State.
The governor said the late Adetoro Lawal spent several decades building his business empire while remaining committed to the development of his community.
According to him, the deceased was a man who combined business with community service and remained passionate about the progress of Ede throughout his lifetime.
Adeleke recalled his childhood memories of the deceased, saying he grew up knowing him and his late father as people who were deeply committed to the development of Ede.
He also described Adetoro Lawal as a man of determination, diligence and vision, noting that his business activities in cocoa trading, automobile dealership, sawmilling and real estate contributed to the economic development of the community.
“Alhaji Adetoro Lawal was not just a businessman; he was a self-made man who contributed to the economic growth of Ede and Osun State and served as an inspiration to many young people that with honesty and hard work, greatness is achievable,” the governor said.
Adeleke added: “Our late Papa contributed immensely to the economic development of Ede and Osun State. As much as his death is a great loss to Ede land and Osun State at large, his legacies remain enduring.”
The governor commiserated with the Lawal family, the people of Ailaka Compound in Ede North Local Government Area and the entire Ede community over the death.
He prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) would forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him Aljanah Firdaus and give his family, friends and the entire Ailaka community the strength to bear the loss.
