The Osun chapter of Accord has alerted the Inspector General of Police and other security agencies of the current attempt by Osun APC to continue its gangster strike on Osun residents through organised attacks on residents to be blamed on members of the Accord.
In a strongly worded statement signed by Accord state chairman, apstor Victor Akande on Sunday morning, the Accord asserted that the Osun APC and its candidate, Muniru Oyebamiji are frantically struggling to frustrate the law enforcement directive of the Inspector General of Police, citing two incidents in a spate of few hours at Osogbo and Okini area.
“At Osogbo, the Osun APC arranged an attack on a resident whom it heavily induced to later implicate Accord. The victims gave three accounts and almost four videos on the incident within three hours before the APC candidate showed up in an arranged condolence visit.
“Last night and a few hours after the Asiri Eniba gang was reported to be heading towards Okini area, another false flag attack surfaced with one of the victims accusing Amotekun service of responsibility at a time Amotekun was never holding any patrol nor present in the said area.
“In the arranged video and audio the Osun APC is circulating, the voice of APC gang members could be heard and the supposed site where the interview was conducted with the victim was obviously not a hospital.
“We affirm that Accord members are not involved in any attack on any resident. The plot which we had earlier warned about is that Osun APC is putting Accord caps and symbols on its gang members to implicate Accord. We alerted the police of this development two weeks ago but no action was taken.
“We alert the Inspector General of Police that despite his directive, the Asiri Eniba terror gang and his collaborating partner within the Police are yet to be arrested or questioned. They still drove round the state fully armed and without interception or arrest as directed by the Inspector General of Police through the Deputy Inspector General of Police.
“We suspect that the Commissioner of Police is still unwilling to effect the directive of the IGP as he has refused so far to arrest Asiri Eniba who was openly fingered in several attacks. Saheed Eninafe is still at large despite the police knowing his whereabouts. The personal assistant to Wole Oke who was mentioned by the wife of late Aderogba is yet to be apprehended. None of these openly mentioned suspects have been declared wanted.
As much as we commend the IGP for sending delegation and issuing directives, we are worried that the Commissioner of Police is not ready to enforce his superiors’ directives. The APC killer gang is still moving freely and a police officer named Eluku is still on his beat despite so many untreated petitions on his collusion with Asiri Eniba, the APC chief thug” the statement added.
The Accord Remains committed to the sustenance of peace through partnership with law enforcement agencies. As directed by Governor Ademola Adeleke, we are not and we will not take law into our hands. We however expect the police to act fast.
