The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) has announced the commencement of the commissioning of major infrastructure projects executed by the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke across Osun State.

In a statement signed by its Director-General, Senator Kamorudeen Olalere Oyewumi, on Tuesday, the council said the two-day exercise would begin on Wednesday with the commissioning of the four-span Lameco Flyover Bridge in Osogbo, while two key road projects in Ejigbo would be commissioned on Thursday.

“The two-day event will be headlined by the commissioning of the four-span Lameco overhead bridge on Wednesday, while two other critical road projects in Ejigbo will be formally launched on Thursday,” the statement said.

According to the statement, Governor Ademola Adeleke will perform the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Lameco Flyover Bridge, with the Ataoja of Osogboland, HRM Oba Jimoh Adetunji Olanipekun, Larooye II, alongside other prominent stakeholders from within and outside Osogbo expected to attend.

It stated that the four-span bridge was constructed to address the persistent traffic congestion along the Lameco axis, improve connectivity and stimulate economic activities in the state capital.

“The four-span Lameco bridge was built to solve perennial traffic congestion along that axis, improve connectivity and stimulate economic activities in the state’s capital, underscoring the Adeleke administration’s sustained commitment to addressing age-long challenges and improving the quality of life for residents of Osogbo and its environs,” the statement added.

The council further disclosed that on Thursday, the Ogiyan of Ejigbo, HRM Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode, Oyeyosin II, will commission the first phase of the 12-kilometre Ejigbo–Ilawo–Iwo Road and the first phase of the 6-kilometre Ejigbo–Isoko–Aye Road.

It added that the commissioning would be followed by the flag-off of the remaining sections of both road projects as part of the administration’s commitment to strengthening local economies through improved road infrastructure.

“We must note that these events will be a continuous one as several other completed projects by the Governor Ademola Adeleke-led government will soon be commissioned for the benefit of the people. We urge the public to take full ownership of the projects and collaborate with the government to ensure long-term sustainability,” the statement said.
