Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra affirmed his country’s efforts to provide the basic factors to ensure the success of the Arab Summit, scheduled to be held next March in Algeria.
Lamamra announced, during his meeting today with the ambassadors of Arab countries accredited to Algeria, his country’s determination to make the upcoming Arab summit a milestone in the process of joint Arab action, denying rumors about postponing it.
The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, in a statement, that Lamamra’s meeting with the ambassadors of Arab countries was an opportunity to inform them of the efforts made by his country to promote joint Arab action in the perspective of building the Arab national security system in all its dimensions. The same applies to Arab societies, especially with regard to questions related to the Corona (Covid-19) pandemic, as well as the challenges of economic and social development, leading to a focus on solidarity and collective self-reliance in a way that guarantees the immunity of the Arab nation and the protection of its interests.
According to the statement, Lamamra highlighted Algeria’s efforts to provide the basic factors to ensure the success of the upcoming Arab summit and make it a milestone in the process of joint Arab action, expressing the commitment of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to continue the process of consultation and coordination with his brothers, the leaders of Arab countries, and to complete the direct contacts that bring him together. periodically with many of his Arab counterparts, as well as those through his special envoy.
