Sunday Bisi Applauds NWC’s Intervention In Osun PDP

The acting chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Hon Sunday Bisi, has described the wisdom behind the approach of Dr Iyorchia Ayu-led National Working Committee of the PDP to appoint him as acting chairman of the party in Osun State as “superb and an excellent masterstroke to douse unnecessary tension being stoked by forces averse to success of the party in the state.

Hon Bisi also applauded the decision of the PDP national office “not to allow any clog in the wheel of progress of the party in the state at this crucial time as a bold stamp on the seriousness and success seeking stance of the NWC.”

The acting chairman of the PDP made this known in a statement he personally signed on Friday.

The PDP National Working Committee in response to recent developments in Osun State chapter of the party had on Wednesday officially appointed Hon Sunday Bisi as the acting chairman of Osun State PDP.

The letter of appointment addressed to Hon Bisi dated 16th of February 2022 and signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary Hon Umar Bature, indicated that the appointment takes immediate effect and run through March 25, 2022 when the tenure of the current State Working Committee of the party in Osun State would lapse.

“The NWC Wednesday meeting also approved all decisions of the previous National Working Committee on Osun congresses, a decision that validated and authenticated the present local and ward executives of the party in Osun,” Hon Bisi stated.

He enjoined leaders and members of the party in the state to close ranks and join hands with him “to move the party forward and liberate the good people of Osun from the hands of political vultures ravaging the state into social and economic carcass.”
