In a bid to allay the fears of intending pilgrims from Osun State to the year 2024 pilgrimage. The Chairman, Osun State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Pastor Funsho Ishola has said that the City of Jerusalem contrary to rumors being spread around is safe and peaceful for the conduct of pilgrimage.
Pastor Ishola disclosed this during a sensitisation visit made to some churches in the Osogbo metropolis.
He explained that the Board has been carrying out visitations to people, organisations and worship centers throughout the State in order to debunk rumours making the rounds in different media platforms across the country about the war in Gaza.
To allay this and other perceived fears, Pastor Ishola explained further that the National Commission of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Board had to send delegates from each state of the federation to the Holy Land to have knowledge of what is actually going on in the city and they came back with a report that all is well in the Holy Land of Jerusalem.

According to him; “the whole package for each intending pilgrim is Three Million, Three Hundred Thousand Naira (₦3.3m) while Fifteen Thousand is for the purchase of form that makes one eligible to embark on the trip.
“The charges cover air-fare, feeding, accommodation, transportation, kits as well as the visa.
“Though there is still war in Gaza, we are assuring that the war has not and will not in any way affect the safety of pilgrims during their holy journeys to Isreal and Jerusalem.”
Pastor Ishola further noted that the State government under the leadership of Senator Ademola Adeleke has put in place all necessary measures to ensure a safe, peaceful and rewarding pilgrimage for all intending pilgrims.
