• Declares 2026/2027 Victory Assured for Governor Adeleke and the People
The ruling party in Osun State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reacted to the leaked consensus list by the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as another sign of confusion and desperation within a party that has completely lost touch with the people.
The PDP said the list only confirms that the opposition remains trapped in the politics of imposition and self-interest, while Osun people have since moved forward under the purposeful and people-oriented leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
In a statement signed by the State Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, and released by the media unit of the party, the PDP noted that the forthcoming 2026/2027 general elections will not be a contest of noise or propaganda but a celebration of performance, trust, and results.
“Osun people know the difference between hardship and hope. They have tested both parties, and they are proudly standing with the PDP, the party that has restored light, dignity, and direction to governance through IMOLE,” the statement said.
The PDP described its current strength as not just political but deeply emotional, rooted in the trust and confidence of ordinary citizens. “We have earned huge street credibility across Osun State because our Governor speaks the people’s language which echos performance, humility, and accessibility.
From teachers to farmers, from market women to artisans, from students to civil servants, the message is the same: the PDP government is working, and Osun is breathing again,” the statement continued.
The party further mentioned that Governor Adeleke’s administration has delivered outstanding results across key sectors of the state’s economy. “Today, our government enjoys open endorsement from workers, pensioners, students, transport unions, professional bodies, and community leaders who have all seen a government that keeps its word. “
“Salaries are no longer delayed, pensions are regular, and respect has returned to the public service. The people can now plan their lives because they trust the system again,” the statement added.
While describing the APC consensus list as a recycled arrangement of tired and deceitful politicians, the PDP said the opposition’s latest move is highly welcomed. “What they call consensus is nothing but confusion packaged in the old way. The people have not forgotten their years of deception. Osun will not go backward,” the party declared.
Reaffirming its readiness for another landslide victory, the Osun PDP assured citizens that the party will continue to prioritize their welfare and development. “Our performance speaks for us. Our unity gives us strength. And the people’s love keeps us going. Come 2026/2027, the PDP will win again, not because of politics, but because of performance and the people’s conviction that Osun must never return to the years of waste and sorrow,” the statement concluded.
